Lessons from both sides of the Atlantic: How Citizens, Governments and Corporations are Driving the Smart City ITS Transformation
The Swedish Embassy, Business Sweden and with support from ITS Sweden are proud to present the Connected Transportation for Smarter Citizens seminar taking place on Wednesday November 1st at the 24th World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in Montreal, Canada.
The transportation industry is undergoing a digital revolution. As citizens become more connected and more determined to drive the pace of this digital transformation, expectations on authorities to adapt to the digital society is increasing. Today, cities can meet some of these expectations thanks to new construction, innovation and investment in technology.
During this transformation to a completely digital society, it is critical for cities and the citizens driving this change to stay connected. Authorities need to continue to invest and provide technological means within the transportation sector to interact with the citizens in a smart way.
Join thought leaders from Sweden and North America to discuss opportunities and learnings from cities, governmental initiatives and private company perspectives on how to close the gap between the smart citizen and smart cities.
The discussion will be moderated by Olle Isaksson Head of Strategy at Ericsson and will center around key questions including:
- How are cities able to stay ahead of demands and needs of their citizens?
- How can the vision and cooperation between all deciding levels of government be aligned?
- How do corporation innovations contribute and impact to Smart City transformation?
Attendance is free of charge with an ITS conference badge. Please note that this event is invitation only and seating is limited. Please RSVP at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ITSEvent
Seminar start time: November 1, 1:00pm held at Palais des congrès de Montréal.
