We are planning with the ITS Council to have a more Swedish strategic approach in Vienna with a combination of presentations, special interest sessions, meetings, the Swedish Pavilion and demonstrations!

If you are interested to participate please inform us as soon as possible and if you are interested in taking part of the Swedish Pavilion contact us directly we only have a limited amount of places!

We will have a information meeting about the Swedish pavilion on Tuesday 13 December between 11.00-12.30 in Stockholm.

Smarter on the way Call for Papers: Submission Deadline 13th January 2012

The ITS World Congress will be the event of 2012 on new technologies for smarter, cleaner and safer transport. It continues to be of increasing significance globally and with the theme “Smarter on the Way” the 19th ITS World Congress in Vienna will focus on the main challenges faced by the ITS sector: connecting seamlessly, serving customers and encouraging sustainability.

The event aims to gather over 300 exhibitors and attract some 8,000 visitors (3,000 delegates) from more than 60 countries worldwide, in the quest to share best practices and build reliable networks.

 

Call for Papers

The Call for Papers is open and the International Programme Committee warmly invites ITS experts to submit a paper to be considered for presentation and publication at the Vienna Congress before the deadline of 13 January 2012. The aim is also to have as many female speakers at these sessions as possible; therefore, we strongly encourage women in ITS to submit their paper.

The general topics of this 19th ITS World Congress in Vienna are:

1.     Optimising provision and use of Infrastructure, Traffic and Travel Data and Information

2.     Intelligent infrastructure

3.     Continuity and Interoperability of Seamless Multimodal Services for Mobility

4.     Integrated Safety and Security for all Users

5.     Connected Vehicles, Infrastructure and Users for Cooperative Mobility Services

6.     Sustainable, Clean and Energy Efficient Mobility

Special Interest Sessions

 At the request of organisations or experts involved in developing and deploying ITS, these interactive, tailor-made sessions will delve into topics and offer global perspectives and insight on ITS.

 To submit your proposal for a Special Interest Session, please fill in the form here and send it back to your regional contact.

 Submit  your technical/scientific paper or a Special Interest Session now to the world’s biggest and best ITS event by 13 January 2012 and help shape the discussion at the Congress by promoting your topic. Get the exposure you need at ITS Vienna 2012!

Exhibition

 

The Messe Wien Exhibitions & Congress Centre has large exhibition space, numerous meetings facilities, common areas for interaction, break-out rooms and coffee break areas.

The exhibition of the 19th ITS World Congress takes place on an area of 14,500 square metre in Hall B. We are expecting about 300 exhibitors from all over the world, who will present their newest products and solutions in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems.

The Galerie in Hall B has 24 units, which offers a total of 480 square metre for break-out meetings and small-scale events, or uses as back offices for conferences or hospatility suites. More information on Messe Wien-Website.
