My name is Dorothea and I work with Business Sweden out of our Chicago office in the USA. I am reaching out to you to let you know about an interesting opportunity for potential collaboration between the New York City Department of Transportation and companies within the ITS sector in Sweden. Recently, our contacts from the Swedish Consulate in New York had a meeting with the NYC Department of Transportation who showed a great interest in knowing more about congestion tolls and how to solve transportation issues in car-free zones. They have been reviewing the Stockholm set-up as an example and are interested in learning more about specific technical solutions that have been used in Sweden.
We think this is a great opportunity for Swedish companies to provide specific insight and also potentially make inroads in the U.S. market through New York City. Business Sweden would be glad to work with ITS Sweden to have a coordinated effort to reach out to companies in this space to gauge their interest. Since ITS Sweden has a great diversity of member companies who have significant experience in this complex area, the best strategy may be for companies to collaborate and develop a systems approach to provide New York City with the best solution. Please let me know if you might have some time to discuss this opportunity further and how we could best connect Swedish industry participants, who may be interested, with the relevant New York contacts.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
